here are 2 (of several) ways of looking at perspective in photography composition
if perspective=point of view, you can shoot from:
- eye level
- being the subject
- bird’s view
- worm’s view
even the loveliest subject can sometimes lead to quite boring or cliché results. that’s a good opportunity for the photographer to test another point of view. don’t pack your bag and leave before you put yourself in several eyebrow-raising, embarrassing positions 😉
if perspective=depth, I find these are the best tools:
- objects or things happening in the foreground, middle-ground and background
- leading lines – objects in such order to lead the eye ‘into’ the image
- framing
do you have a great perspective photo to share? comment! 🙂
